Jyu Raku Japanese Restaurant @ SS15

ag
complimentary potato

Its December.! I known so many december babies. So i ask one of the december baby where she wants to celebrate!!! All she can think of is Jyuraku SS15 (based on her previous experience.). I remembered being there once and the meal came to RM700++ and there was 7 of us. The food at that time was scrumptious and we had a great time. And that’s why I won't mind dining at Jyuraku again.

When i reached, i was greeted by the jockey who is an indian man but spoken in mandarin (i'm not being racist but i was shocked!!) I mean I know Indians are able to speak Chinese but I have not encountered any. He request if i would like to allow him to park my car, but i politely declined. There are four Japanese restaurants in a same row and I wonder why this place will always be crowded with cars.

Rainbow Roll (RM28++)

The first to come was the complimentary potato. Its very tasty! Then our first order was the Avocado salad (RM28++). The salad tasted fresh. :) Next was Salmon Sashimi (RM24++) and we ordered 2 plate ,since all of us is a big fan of salmon fish. The salmon was fresh and it melts in your mouth. yum! The salmon was at least 2cm thick!! Next was Jyu Raku Roll (RM28++). Once I had this in my mouth, I could taste the crunchy cucumber, fresh fish roe burst in my mouth! And then came the rainbow roll (RM28++). And then...

Wagyu tataki 75g (RM70++)..really melts in your mouth

Kaki fry (RM28++)

Surumeika Sugata (RM20++)...juicy!!!!
Mekajiki Sashimi (RM38++)

Finally the best dish among all the dishes!!!!

Ice cream birthday cake...:)

The combination of macha ice cream + goma ice cream + monaka = RM49++...I really like this dish, the ice cream is not too sweet and the waffle is with chocolate ...yum yum yum!!! The whole bill came to RM412.85 plus 5% government tax and 10% service. The best is we had free macha drink (green tea! and its refillable!!hehe)

Kopi Luwak

Jakarta trip went well but i still haven't had a chance to sit with a piece of mind and enjoy a cup of POO!! ahahhah! :P

When i was in the airport i decided to buy a part of Jakarta with me.

I bought this at a price of Rp 320,000 = RM 113.60. My dad was so excited that he didn't want to open the packet...-_-!!! pengsan! No la, still have to try! So i ask my dad to make for all!! eheheh :P

You know what? It actually taste like normal coffee (the bean one!) I think Star**** will taste better. It was just very blend. I did complained to a friend but according to her, it's the way you prepare the coffee.  -_-'

Well, i don't have special hands to make a good coffee. Aniway, its a good try.

V1 Concept & Restaurant

I am back to KL. Called a friend who lives in puchong for dinner. So, why now just eat in Puchong. There is this place i went previously just for a drink and told myself i will come and try the food. I really like it's interior and the decoration. As you enter, you will see a red ferrari at the entrance. The crowd starts late probably at 10pm onwards. There's a stage at the end, and it's all lighted up with LED.

Check out the table setting...

Honk Me! Our crew will serve you!

Very innovative. But everybody is honking their table off!

Check out the menu....

Wow! ipad menu...

I love the ipad menu and I ask for another ipad menu for my friend but it's limited. The last time i came, i saw the group dropping the ipad. Probably, the ipad went to the workshop gua! :P

I'm all ready to try their dishes from the menu.

Cheesy rice - RM14.50

The rice is nice... i like the cheese

Grilled Chicken - RM35

This chicken is blend but well cook. I like the mash potato in the middle, very interesting dish.

Tiramisu - RM12

I will not come here for the desert. I initially ordered the Blue cheese cake, but it's not available. So, they recommended this tiramisu. Once the tiramisu arrived, it was hard. Maybe i would rather just go for the main dish only next time. :)

I have taken some pictures around...

Jakarta 2010 - Day 4

HOME! HOME! HOME! I miss home. I miss my bed. I miss computer. I miss my booboo. :) My flight is in the afternoon. I think there should be plan B in case plan A unable to proceed.

Plan A - Taking personal driver to airport
Plan B - Taking hotel bus shuttle to airport

For 3 days in Jakarta, planning ahead and including all contingency in the plan. The traffic in Jakarta is MADNESS! Especially if you are rushing, never stick to one plan.

Breakfast is simple. Same ol same breakfast for 3 days in the hotel. Remind me next time if i visit Jakarta, never stay in a remote area where food is difficult to find! There's another thing interest me...

in cappuccino flavour
I tried one stick and it's the same as Gudang Garam... No i will not try anymore. I shall find a victim in KL to hand this over. heheh!

You know what, plan A & B fail. Plan C - taking the cab. Plan A got stuck in the jam. Plan B left.

Lucky there were a few cabs around the hotel. If not,... I dare not say!

In the airport

Taken some decoration in the airport.

Goodbye Jakarta

high class nasi lemak - RM10

Hi Malaysia! Safe and sound.

Jakarta 2010 - Day 3

The Wedding is over and now is some time spent in Jakarta. Morning plan is to visit Magga Dua (something like Central Market in KL) and then to Grand Indonesia (like Pavilion in KL).

The sight from the carpark of Magga Dua

We didn't have much time to shop at Magga Dua as we were rushing for lunch. Once we got back to our vehicle, we told the driver to head towards Grand Indonesia. While heading there, i had taken some pictures.

I secretly taken this man's picture. He was walking in between non moving cars. I didn't realise that he was looking. :P I got scared coz in Jakarta it's normal for them for snatch anything from the vehicle especially when it's not moving.

Indonesian crossing

I wanted to take a ride on this bajaj. Maybe my next trip (finger's cross)

Poor man. He was walking bare footed on tar road pushing his cart.

There was a misunderstanding with the driver!!! He didn't know where is Grand Indonesia. He took us back to the hotel, where the journey he drove takes us almost 2 hours. The whole crew in the vehicle was frustrated that every bad-mouthing words was said...!!! The driver even ask directions from us how to get to the HOTEL! You must be joking!

Once reached the hotel, we saw another driver (with suit! i bet he knows where Grand Indonesia is?!)
.
.
.
.
.
.
YES, he does! Finally someone who know Jakarta more than us tourist!

A part of Jakarta i wanted in see more of. ITS CITY! As the signboard welcomes us...

Final we reached Grand Indonesia!! First thing in mind, FOOD!!!

Cream & Fudge

Green Tea & Chocolate Mix with pistachio nuts.

The process of making

Green Apple & Chocolate with Macadamia nuts

Tiramisu & raspberry mix

Wow! After a sweet tasting. More walking to burn the calories!

There was a live band singing. And they are GOOD! i can say they are better than most live band i heard in KL. The highest floor of Grand Indonesia has a different concept of design. It's much exotic and interesting. Mostly restaurants, bars, cafes and food stalls. Other floors below would be clothing, electronics, fashion and others. I was passing through one of the cafe, and i saw "Kopi Luwak". Guess what is it?

It's Bat's poo blend into coffee. Eeuuu! Hahahahah!! I was so keen to try.So, i told my friends to come after dinner. hahahahah :P Well, it's once in a lifetime to try poo in food. :) The price is not that cheap, you know! Rp 159,000.00 per cup equivalent to RM60. This is probably cheaper than i heard. I heard my ex-colleage drank one cup amounting to RM75 at Jakarta airport, ok!

There were 10 of us, decided to have sushi...

After dinner the bill came....I think it's the most expensive bill i have ever contributed!

Rp 1,230,770.00...The bill came to One million...Wow!!! Lucky in Rp instead in RM! Haha

Wow...i had so much i couldn't move. SHIT! i wanted to drink the shit!!! Haha!! Tak bole masuk lagi la! Ok la, next time!!(a friend said). Alright then, just get supper will do. :)

Jakarta 2010 - Day 2 (part 3)

The night has come. Make up and dressing up. Finally, the event why i am at Jakarta. After such a great late lunch, i was fully prepare for getting ready for the dinner of the year widely spoken within our friends! All of us had little time to prepare ourselves, but still manageable.

After all the making up, we all gather at the lobby for the driver to send us to the golf-clubhouse. I was surprise as i arrive because the place was the center of attention, full of lights and looks like The Whitehouse DC. :)

The entrance

As we all enter the place setting up like a celebrity's wedding. The place is big and decorations everywhere. I have never felt a wedding ceremony ever so grand in my life.

There is one mountain of fruits which caught my eyes....

Trust me, its real... I get closer.

Do you believe me now? :)

Check out the wedding cake...

Its huge!

And other decorations.

 the walkway

The event started off when the Bride & Groom sang Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. They selected an ideal song suit them because they started off in a long distance relationship and the relationship continued with a great marriage as off today. As a close friend of the bride, none of us never expected that the groom is good in singing. Surprising!

After the singing, the Bride & Groom along with their parents was at stage. Its customary for the guest to greet the married couple with their parents on stage. While all the guest rush to stage, Me and my friends went food discovering. There were varies food such as bandung(our version of nasi lemak), soto ayam, satay, siomaya (a dish which is super spicy and tasty), lamb, tempura, ice cream and etc.

The event ended on time 10pm (Jakarta time). Everyone headed home after that. The night is still young. There's no bar near our hotel. So, we decided to call in room service while enjoying the taste of Indonesia...until that we call off the day!

Hahaha...
