Nambawan @ Taman Sri Manja

Pork Paste @ RM9.90
An old friend from my previous office have invited me to her wedding on the next coming weekend. And she had decided to meet up with everybody to show some wedding pictures and hand over the wedding invitations. After much decision, finally we have decided to visit Nambawan which is located in a housing area in Taman Sri Manja. I have been here many times and i think the food is alright.

During this visit, i have decided to try something new. Well, i had ordered the "pork paste" as it was recommended and it is not in the menu. I really love pork but this pork tasted like tuna fish. The pork are in strips unlike the burger. I should have ordered their signature dish with is the pork burger. I really like the pork burger as i always had.

100% Pork Burger @ RM6.90

Fish and Chip @ RM8.90

Next dish was the fish and chip. This is also one of their signature dishes. The taste of the herbs marinated in the fish along with the crispiness of it. Hehe!! My friend had the pork belly. The pork belly has been marinated and grilled well. You could taste the fats juicying out from your mouth!! Yum yum!!

Pork Belly @ RM13.90

Pork Chop @ RM12.90
The portion was slightly small for me so i had ordered another dish for myself (shared with friends..Hehe!!) I had carbonara chicken mushroom. I really like this dish as it is filled with herbs and cheese!!! There were no other pasta serve but it's ok! :)

Chicken Mushroom @ RM8.90
This place is a good for try for reasonable prices. The prices from the menu will be changing anytime soon!!!

The Bee @ Jaya One

Once again the ice cream craving comes back!!! Now i had to try other flavors from the previous visit i went to at http://rebeccajann.blogspot.com/2011/01/bees-jaya-one.html.

This time i have taken french toast, white coffee and the ever favourite teh tarik!!The white coffee tasted like nescafe! Im was a heavy coffee drinker so this was good for me. I had tried making my own ice cream  nescafe flavoured and it really tasted like this one. But mine was sweeter because i used nescafe itself! Hehe! A plus for me one this ice cream!

Next was the french toast. The first thing i had in mind of french toast is buttery-eggy tasted and i can't imagine putting into the concept of ice cream. Once i had it in my mouth, it was all cinnamon's! Not that i'm not a fan of cinnamon's, but it was just overwhelming of cinnamon. All i could think was... why did i take this?? Hehe! ok maybe it was not that bad but i had had ordered a lemonade drink. And it was too sour! I was the laughing stalk of the day due to my face! Anyways, what is life without laughter?!

Next trip i will try other flavour. Hehe!

Kinnaree Thai Restaurant @ Jaya One

Kinnaree Infusion @ RM5.50
Me and my cimuis meets very often for yam cha or dinner on Japaneses cuisine. Somehow, this year would be a different. The birthday girl (or shall i say the birthday hot mama!) decided to have Thai cuisine. Like usual, everybody reaches at the normal "Malaysian" timing. And i didn't want to make the calling of dishes because i may go crazy!!! Hehe! Nah! I waited and as i waited i oredered a drink for myself. It was the Kinnaree Infusion. It was good! I love it! it has this lemongrass smell and taste but not so bitter. Good!

I didn't expected much from this place as i came here once for lunch but it was not a moment i could enjoy my meal. So, waited for majority to come and then decided for the meal. As time passing, my tummy went bizzare! "I had to order something" i told myself! Ok, i started off with the Thai Fish Cake, also known as Thod Mun Pla. I got two dishes as there were 8 of us. It really tasted good. Its thick, not like other restaurant serving and tasty. And it's served hot!

Thai Fish Cake @ RM15.00

Next was the Green Curry Chicken also known as Gaeng Keaw Wan Kai. Hehe! Im loving the thai language!!!This  dish is much on the santan side. Either than that, it's ok. Next is the Tom Yum Seafood soup. They recommended for us to choose the individual bowls as the pot serves for 5-6 pax but we order the pot anyways. The soup is super spicy! It's fine for me but the soup was leave alot. I'm sure my cimuis do not like spicy dishes!! Hehe!

Green Curry Chicken @ RM24.00

Tom Yum Seafood @ RM44.00 (pot)
The thai taste butts comes alive! The next was the Pandan Chicken, Kai Ho Bai Toey. I like my chicken. Very tasty Not too fried and not too small. I like mine with the chicken skin. Hehe Its really marinated well! And then the Fried Calamari , Pla Meuk Thod. This dish a disappointment! The sotong really chewable and tough. It was the only dish not finished at the end of the meal. Hehe!

Fried Calamari @ RM 25.00

Pandan Chicken @ RM32.00
And then was the vegetable. Seriously i didn't managed to take a picture of it as it was a catch!!! Once the veg landed on the table, it was gone within 10 seconds! Anyway, the veg is Paku with Shrimp Paste. Its the second time i tried paku pakis as a veg. I didnt really fancy the first time i had it. But this was properly done. It tasted like kang kong in belacan. I think you know what i mean! Hehe! Last but not the least was the fish. Pla Kraphong Neung Manao, Steamed Fish with lime...! The fish is served twisted. See the picture and you will know what i mean. And also boneless. Really tasted fresh!! Good. I really like a boneless fish not considering dory. It take a great skill and patience to produce this fish like that! Yum yum!

Steamed Fish with Lime @ RM42.00

It was a great dinner. Will come again because was given 3 coupons for 10% discount for the next dish. Good! At least one month validity and not one week!

Alexis Bistro Wine Bar @ Bangsar Shopping Centre

It was a good Sunday, where i just wanted to chill at home and not do anything for rest of the day! But i had to go to Times Square to get my chores done and had lunch there before coming back to PJ. Lunch was a nightmare. I went to Penang Village Restaurant. It was seriously bad. Both food and service. Never wanna go there again!

Then as i was driving back, i was passing by Bangsar. I remembered the last piece of cake i had in Alexis which was always satisfying. So, i just drove into Bangsar Shopping Centre. I was so lucky that day, that i had a parking right in front of the entrance to the mall. Hehe! Quickly got out of the car and head towards Alexis.

Button Mushroom @ RM16.00

I ordered button mushroom as it was known to be delicious and the greatest dessert that made me a bigest fan is....the tiramisu!!! I just like the simplicity of the nuts and the layer of brittle chocolates in the middle! I very sure that this meal will help to to overcome my disappointment on my lunch! Hehe! The great part also is that the drinks i ordered are refillable.

Tiramisu @ RM15.00

I had one piece taken-away for supper too. Hehe!

Overtime @ Tropicana Mall

Buy one free one offer @ RM30.00++

It was a great afternoon where i meet up a friend to have lunch. We were at tropicana mall, walking around and decided to find a place to eat and chill away from the crowd on a sunday noon. While walking, i say there was a restaurant/bar outside the mall. Both of us checked it out and decided to settle there. It was Overtime. I have not tried drinking here before and i wont mind trying now. Hehe!

Once we have our table, the waitress ask if we would like to try the beer "Starker". It's a buy one free one offer. Hehe! Drinking in the afternoon? Seriously! Why not? There's always a first time! :P

Then we ordered our meal while i was browsing through the internet. Hehe! I ordered a pan fried fish and chip and my friend had chicken chop. I will not come here to eat anymore. The food is too salty! Maybe just a drink wont be great plus the environment is great.

Chicken chop @ close to RM30.00

Pan Fried Fish and Chip @ close to RM30.00

I cant remember the price but i think its around there because the bill was close to RM70.00

Gold Dragon City Seafood Restaurant @ Paramount

Deep Fried Crispy Prawns @ RM38.00
It was my mom's close friends birthday and it was a family reunion dinner. So, my mom's friend requested to eat chinese. Ok! She had many dinners at this restaurant called "Gold Dragon City Seafood Restaurant", and it was always satisfying. When i arrived i was fascinated with the poster at the entrance stated "Half Sucking Pig" - Rm65.00++. Hehe! But it's not my birthday. :P

First we ordered was the deep friend crispy prawn. The prawn tasted fresh. Although i do not like to eat prawns but its a really nice. Next was the pan fried sliced pork with salted fish. This meal is disappointing as i could not taste any salted fish. Or maybe they used "unsalted fish". :P

Pan Fried Sliced Pork with Salted Fish @ RM20.00

And then came the Yam... yum yum! This is the everybody favorite's dish. Its pretty normal looking but it completes the whole chinese menu! Hehe! Then came the braised sea cucumber with beancurd in claypot. I expected much from this dish as  the price is more then it looks! Hehe! It came hot and smoky. It took me more than one picture to present the best among the rest. It still better than the pork dish! Hehe!

Yam @ RM18.00
Braised Sea Cucumber & Beancurd in Claypot @ RM55.00
Finally was the vegetable. This dish was insisted by my mom! Her statement was "too much meat dish, I want greens!" Hehe! Ok Mom! Love you! Hehe! The vegetable is...alright. And the fried rice. I love this fried rice. Really nice! Can still taste the wok from where it was fried, but it's ok!

Fried Rice with Anchovies @ RM12.00
I didn't order the sucking pig as the manager mention that it will be serve just the skin and no meat. So, i rather not pay off RM65.00++ for just skin. Maybe next restaurant.
