Dancing Fish @ Bangsar Shopping Center

Dancing fish...The first impression i had was a western restaurant. But least i would not have guess that it would be a malay-indo cuisine. This place need reservations at certain time, or else you wouldn't have a place to sit in this restaurant. Lucky thing, we had a reservation..hehe

While waiting i had a drink. call teh botol. It's actually tea without milk. It's famous in Indonesia as i heard. We had emping as appetizers. Its a bitter cracker with sambal toppings.

Teh Botol @ RM5.90
Emping with Sambal Terasi @ RM4.50
Emping with Sambal Terasi @ RM4.50
Once every one arrived we quickly take the order. The highly recommended dish, the name of the restaurant... the dancing fish!!! It's called nila goreng!!! There are so many ways it could be prepared with such as sambal, salad, kerabu or acar. It's crispy but it's not that crispy to even eat the bone. So please watch out for bones!! The waiter mention that we need to order two fishes since the group is big, but once the fish arrived. The fish is jus worth a spoonful. Well, at least worth a try!!! I still wanna try other dishes too!!!hehe...greedy me!!

Nila Goreng with Masam Kedondong Pedas @ RM39.90
The dishes came fast and almost all together. You can sellect the flavor of rice either white or yellow fragrant rice. I like eating it both together as it taste better. The next dish we had was the belimbing ikan masin, which is "star fruit with salted fish". yum yum!!

Belimbing Ikan Masin @ RM9.90
Then we had vege, which is new to KL-ian. I heard that this dish is familiar to the Sabahan & Sarawakian. Its called Gulai Pucuk Paku. Its jungle fern vegetables cooked in sweet coconut milk.

Gulai Pucuk Paku @ RM9.90
Next vege is the terung!! Brinjal...My favourate...!!! Also can be called as eggplant (i wonder why??) This brinjal is steam and fried. Then the sambal is placed on the brinjal... Nice ...but only two piece for 7 pax...abit little.

Terong Sambal @ RM9.90
Then we had chicken...this is more like percik chicken... but its ayam panggang which is spring chicken!

Ayam Panggang (whole chicken) @ RM18.90
The prawns were hugh!!!!

Udang Sambal @ RM55.90
Then the last dish but not the worst!!! Probably it's my favorate among all dishes in this restaurant.!!! Although the serving is small but it's really nice and worth a try!!! It's the cumi cumi goreng!!! I have always like sotong especially the tenticle!!!

Cumi Goreng @ RM18.90
As you realise most of the dishes are with sambal. I am not the person who eat chilli padi, and the sambal here is not that spicy. So don't be terrified by the names. Hehe!!!

As i was walking in Curve.. I saw a shop with green chairs and trees decorations. It has to be new. It called Moo Cow. So cute!! It frozen yogurt...

I just had to try and i ordered Root beer flavor with chocolate chip toppings. The Root Beer flavor is RM10.90 + topping additional RM 1.00. The normal flavor would cost cheaper.

Root Beer Flavor + Chocolate Chip @ RM11.90
It melts very fast. Its worth the try but it's abit expensive.

Rakuzen @ Plaza Damas, Hartamas

It was a birthday gathering as we celebrated in Rakuzen, Hartamas as suggested by a friend. I have always loved Japanese food. We ordered alot.

Sushiya Salad @ RM28.00
Salmon Roll @ RM22.00

Salmon @ RM22.00

Chawanmushi @ RM10.00
Surumeika Sugatayaki @ RM18.00

Ishikari Nabe @ RM30.00
The food is great and recommended but the service needs to be improved. I had to wait a long time for the food to arrived after ordering. I brought some strawberries to the restaurant for my friends to enjoy as a little dessert. I requested them to be wash before serving, the waiter was kind enough to apologied but i over heard the "chef" complaining saying....

"Why do they have to wash the strawberries? How come the customer never wash it at home before coming to the restaurant?"... i was shock because he was standing at the conveyor belt area where i could hear him from the inner cubicle.
Anyways....

Love the food but...speechless

Cameron Strawberry Flower

Gonbei, Cameron Highland Resort @ Cameron Highlands

The restaurant tonight is in Cameron Highlands Resort. It's the ONLY Japanese restaurant in Cameron Highlands and it's an open concept dining environment. This restaurant serve buffet style. I really like this restaurant as all of them are friendly and welcoming. Since in KL the weather has change drastically, i seem to love the weather in Cameron. Even better when it's natural ventilated.

The restaurant setting up...

the jellyfish...heheh

And the food setting...

And last but not least!!!!

And a little...

I had the steamboat set. The steamboat priced about RM110++, and the price is worth the service. Yum  Yumm!!! i had so many strawberries, until i can't remember how many!!!

Jasmine Cafe House @ Cameron Highlands

It has been a long time since i have drove some where, further out of Kuala Lumpur. I was on a trip to Cameron Highlands to enjoy the cold nights and fresh air. I have left KL approximately 10am, made some rest stops, pass through the winding road, passing through the waterfall full of screaming children, and nothing is so different from KL...the JAM!!!  I arrived at Tanah Rata approximately close to 2pm. While i was in the car bumper to bumper, i saw a restaurant which was highly recommended. I quickly made a turn in the junction of the restaurant to find a parking because i have found GOOD FOOD!!

As i sat and look at the menu, a dish passed by my side and i was seriously tempted to know what dish was that. Seriously its smelled nice!!! I ask the waiter and he told me it was "fish and chips". Surprising "fish and chip" could smell that good. Anyway, as i was looking at the menu, i saw "smoked duck". And i made that order since i have not tried smoked duck western style before. And since i'm in Cameron , the waiter recommended strawberry juice.

Mushroom Soup @ RM5.00
The mushroom soup was really blend and not nice. Not much mushroom taste, more like chicken soup.

Strawberry Juice @ RM 6.00
If you like strawberries, you will love the strawberry juice..YUM YUM!!!

Smoked Duck @ RM28.00
The smoked duck is the only dish i wanna eat here again, and again, and again, and again...etc!!! You look at the bottom picture comparing the top picture. Top picture just thick sauce around the duck.

The bottom picture shows that the juice of the duck oozing out when you cut the meat and its repeats after one piece and another piece and another piece...etc!!! Super yummy that if you just eat the meat itself without the skin, it taste like ham. The skin is the juicy one ...loving it!!!

I had the chicken chop too but it's so-so after i have tried the duck.
