Ah Leng Char Koay Teow @ Jalan Dato Kramat, Penang

Its new year. I didn't want to spend my time with the crowd on new years day. So i decided to drive to Penang for a makan-makan trip. The trip was planned a week time before and i never regret it. The traffic was good with such a great weather. Once i reached Penang, it was lunch time. So i decided to find the nearest place to eat.

I did some home-work for this trip and found some interesting places to eat. And my first makan try was Ah Leng Char Koay Teow. You will see the restaurant's name above 2 storey high building, so its easy to spot.

Kopi - RM1
Everyone in penang speaks hokkien. I really do not know how to speak hokkien, so i was conversing in mandarin. Moreover, my mandarin is not that fantastic. If you realised, the chinese version of their name is Ah Long instead of Ah Leng.

The meal only came after 45 minutes of wait, but it was worth it. Probably my KL taste-bud is not as great in comparison with the Penang people, but this char koay teow is good. The prawns were fresh and big. The only thing i regret is by ordering one small plate. :( I did ask for another plate but they told me that i have to wait. So, maybe next time :)

Char Koay Teow (mantis/prawn/egg/cockles)-RM9.50
